Boeing’s new 787 aircraft made its maiden flight to Hong Kong on 26th October.
The £120 million long-haul jet has been hailed as the future of aviation and aims to change the way passengers think about air travel.
New, innovative, onboard features include larger windows with glass that can change opacity at the touch of a button, dynamic LED lighting and improved air pressure and filtering that more closely resembles conditions on the ground.

Give Britain a Break
A new parliamentary report has been issued with the aim to make the prospect of quality time away a reality for every family in Britain.
The report found that 42 per cent of families do not spend enough quality time together and discovered that, of families with children aged 8-12, 49 per cent of youngsters in this age bracket felt they missed out on quality time with their fathers.

Flying Salt and Pepper pots to be decommissioned
Virgin Atlantic have announced that these aeroplane shaped salt and pepper pots (which accompany gourmet meals on Upper Class Flights) will no longer be available due to thefts by passengers.
Since these charming condiments were introduced some 10 years ago, they have become a ‘must-steal’ item among travellers and regularly appear on eBay selling for up to £20 each!
Such has been the rate of theft that recent versions were stamped with the message ‘Pinched from Virgin Atlantic’ as a deterrent, but they still went missing.
Virgin Atlantic spokeswoman Janine Doy said: “Who could have guessed that salt and pepper pots designed for our aircraft would one day be found in homes all over the world, and we are thankful to our Upper Class passengers for spreading the message around the globe”.
